Got Milk?
An ultra-slow interpretation of Satie’s Gymnopédie No. 1
When a true story is told, most of the time, images and sound are enough. Music should not dominate the narrative space or dictate how the audience must feel or interpret the story. This principle guided us in creating the whole sound and music design for this heartwarming project, directed by M&M and conceptualized by Gallegos United for Got Milk?. We proposed to the team an ultra-slow interpretation of Satie’s Gymnopédie No. 1. Not just because we love it, but because it carries a deep, timeless, and heartfelt emotion. We achieved this by sampling the piano strings and significantly slowing them down. The sound design was meticulously recreated in our foley studio.
